I'm happy to be here in Denver again...especially doing dance team stuff. I have such a hectic schedule.
Monday: Class 8-12, break 12-2, class 2-6, dance practice 8-10
Tuesday: work 8-4:30, gym 5-6
Wednesday: Class 8-12, break 12-2, class 2-6, dance practice 8-10
Thursday: work 8-4:30, gym 5-6...sometimes dance performances at basketball games
Friday: work 10-4:30
Saturday: sometimes dance performances
Sunday: homework, dance practice 8-10
I finally found a place to live. The whole apartment thing fell through but I'm rooming with my two best friends here (verena and erica) in a 3 room suite.

| A Memorable? saturday night |

So I was out on the Alicante streets saturday night for salir de marchas and all. We were club hoppin. Must have been to about 5 during the course of the night. The third place we went to was kick ass so we stayed there for majority of the time. We got free shots of tequila...three for me to be exact. That was after the cup of wine I had. So I pretty much wasn't all there.
Anyways...I was just dancing the night away but when I woke up the next morning I had a new number in my phone. A guy named Carlos. And my house sister Miri had a number from Jorge. Apparently I am really good at speaking spanish when I am drunk because I guess we have a double date with them tomorrow night. And when he called me back to confirm the plans..it was a lot harder to understand him. Well..I guess we'll see how it goes...and how he looks. haha. At least I'll get some spanish practice. |

yesterday i moved in with my host family. I with a señora named aurora and a girl who is 18 and from bolivia but she came here to work and doesnt go to school. she is really nice though. neither of them speak english. its tougher than i thought and i get frustrated sometimes. aurora gave me this huge spanish english dictionary to carry around. i´m going to go find a smaller one today though. her house is nice. actually no one has houses. they are all large flats. we live in la plaza luceros on the seventh floor. its a great view of the castle and the plaza. i have my own room. the house is 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. so i share a bathroom with miri..the girl from bolivia. yesterday miri and i went out at night. we got sangria and went to the beach where we attempted to talk about our homes and what we like and dislike...etc. yesterday i thought aurora told me she would wake me up this morning at 6:30 because i have classes starting at 8;30 but apparently she was asking me if i had an alarm clock and to set it for 6:30. so this morning i woke up at 8:25!! i threw on clothes and brushed my teeth and ran to the bus stop. i also didnt realize that you have to flag down the buses or they dont stop. so after about 3 buses passed me i called armando on my 39 euro cell phone and asked him what was up. i finally got a bus and once on campus i didnt know how to get to the building to take the placement test. so i called cynthia the international lady and she came and found me and took me to the building. after all of this classes were already over. i found some english speaking people and they told me where computers were in the library. so now i am here. i just found people from my program so ally is going to go with me to el corte ingles to get a dictionary and an alarm clock and then we might go to the beach.

I'm leaving earlier now. I'm going with Verena to Germany and we're staying with her aunt. We are going to visit there and austria and czec republic. We're leaving august 21st. I'm going to be gone for so long. I'm excited! |

I had a really good time at home. The first day was kind of sketch because all we did was go to the townhouse and then some hockey stores for like 5 hours and everyone was hot and complaining. But then that night we went to J.D's concert (polar state) at his house and it was a blast. Dancing all sweaty was the best. I got to see some people I havent seen since christmas so that was nice.
On sunday I went to carpenteria with jenn and we layed out on the beach all day. It sucks not having a beach in denver. That's probably what I miss the most...after my family of course. That night we took my turtles to the pond fountain thing in the commons in calabasas. They got really big and my 20 gallon tank is way to small. I think they'll be a lot happier over there where they have a lot more turtles and a huge place to swim and bask in the sun.
Monday I ran errands all day and hung out with kenneth. Monday night we had a bonfire at the beach. I love bonfires and guitar singing slash improv.
Tuesday my family went to my uncles beach house. We also were on the beach all day and I got to hang out with my cousin melysa! We had so much good food too. After dinner melysa and I went out on the kayak. Such a fun adventure. Too bad we ate it and our kayak nose dived on the third wave coming back in.
I don't really remember what I did during the day on wednesday. But I finally got my passport in the mail. That night I had a girls night with my mom. We saw The Devil Wears Prada
Thursday I woke up bright and early to go apply for my visa at the Spain consulate. Then I met my cousin Diane at her house and we went out to lunch at bakery cafe in calabasas commons. I got to see her baby for the first time. Such a cutie. We walked around in the stores for awhile after and went to the pond to look for my turtles. Then we went back to her place and watched Failure to Launch. After that I went home. My mom and I had another girl's night. We watched a movie on the couch while I dyed her hair and cut it.
The next day kevin jeffrey matthew and I left to drive to denver. I'm back in denver now. The 3 of them will be here working and training for hockey for the next 3 weeks.
I leave for Spain Aug. 31 and don't come back until Christmas Eve. My mom is coming to travel with me on Dec. 7 and comes home with me on christmas eve on the same flight from paris to la. I'm so excited.
As for now I'm just working and saving up money for spain. I'm also trying to get the dance team plans all organized for next year.

I had my appendix removed this morning. I will tell you the story later. I'm on percocet though so I don't feel that bad. I have three lil baby scars which they said you would barely be able to see when i heal. |

So many new things that I should tell you about.
I quit my ice arena job. I now have two new jobs. I work at University advancement for my workstudy now every monday and wednesday from 8am-430pm. $9 and hour. I also work at a sushi restaurant called Japon. I am a hostess and I get $8.50/hr plus tips and free sushi pretty much whenever I want. Which means I pretty much eat sushi two or three times a week. I get to start serving soon as well.
I'm officially going to spain now in the fall. I got accepted to the program. I will be leaving like 3rd week of august and wont be back in the US till a couple days before christmas.
Next year I am going to be President of the dance team. Lara and I are co-prez since I will be gone in the fall and she will be gone in the winter and spring. She will be prez in the fall and I will be in winter and spring. Hence the name co-prez...yeah get it. |

I just ate an entire kings size reeses fast break. I havent worked out in practically a month besides dance practice. I feel so lazy. I used to workout 5 days a week for an hour and I felt good, infact great, and I looked great. I don't feel as good about myself as I used to. Partly because I stopped working out and partly because my face isn't as clear as it used to be, and it sucks. I hate having blemishes. I never used to get them and now they dont want to go away. I started birth control about a month ago. Maybe that will help. I feel like I should go to the dermatologist or something but i dont have any money. I mean its not bad by any means, but it just really bugs me. And I'm going to start working out again. I hate being lazy.
I need another job. I hate having no money ALL THE TIME. When will it end? I've been trying to find another job for the past two weeks. I've applied everywhere. No one is hiring.
On the bright side. Things with eric are great. I am really well off right now. I shouldn't be complaining but sometimes things just get to me. |

Turned in my application for Alicante spain today. I'm so excited. The program is from September 1 to December 16. Soon I will have to get a passport and student visa. I am going to travel for about two weeks before and probably during my study abroad and for about a week after. I will be in europe for a total of four months! Whoo hoo!
CONGRADULATIONS TO CHRIS FOR GETTING INTO UCSB!
My schedule this quarter is so rad. Monday and wednesday: 6-8pm
Tuesday and thursday: 9am-3pm AWESOME!
I'm taking:spanish, intro. to financial accounting, business environment, and some literature AHUM class.
I'm going to see rocky votolato this friday probably. I'm pretty excited for that. I haven't been to a show in forever.
I really miss my family and beverly and jennifer. I feel like I need to see them and very soon. I haven't seen anyone since christmas break.
Everyone came back all tan from spring break. I'm jealous. I didn't go anywhere. I worked. At least I made some money. I don't really care about money though, I'd rather have gone on a vacation to some tropical destination with my friends like I originally planned before I got stuck with medical bills for my freakin kidney that tried to die on me. Oh well. At least I'm going to europe for four months pretty soon. |

I'm at work right now. I have one of those colds where your body feels tired and your head is congested and all light headed, but my brain isnt tired at all. Kind of weird. Life is good...maybe even great. Although I do miss beverly and jennifer and my family. I think jenn and bev should come to denver soon to see me.
It's my spring break right now. I'm not doing anything that cool. Just working, and trying to find a second job. I have the sweetest schedule next quarter: Mon and Wed. 6-8pm, tues. and thurs. 9am-3pm. That leaves me all of mon and wed. for a new job. And ill keep my ice arena job for tues., and thursdays after school and also for sundays.
I need to save up since I'm studying abroad next fall. It has been decided, finally. I'm going to Alicante, Spain. Anybody who wants to save up, can come with me when I travel early. My program starts mid september and I think I am going three weeks early to travel. I've never been so excited for something in my life. |

I got angry at my jansport backpack a couple weeks ago because the zipper got majorly stuck and i couldnt open it. I tried for like a half hour to get that thing open but finally took my anger out on it with a knife. Now it is in shreds. Haha take that lame backpack!
Then yesterday eric surprised me with a new north face backpack! What a cutebutt! He told me I couldn't get angry at this one and take a knife to it. Understandable. I think this backpack is going to be a lot nicer to me though.
My back is killing me! pfffh! I feel stiff and can't move very well. I think i need a full body massage. |

I can't remember the last time I've been this happy and content with everything in my life...and its seems to be growing stronger each day. I know that I always have money issues with paying for school and such, but that is such a miniscule thing compared to everything else I am blessed with that it doesn't seem to burden me quite like it used to. |
